Regular and One-Off Services

We are equally happy with a single visit to bring a neglected garden back to order, or a regular fortnightly maintenance schedule that keeps things tidy through the growing season. Typical jobs include:

Garden Clearance and Renovation

If a garden has been left for a year or two, getting it back under control can feel impossible to a homeowner. We are used to taking on these jobs. We will turn up with the right equipment — heavy-duty strimmers, brushcutters, hedge trimmers, a chipper for branches and a covered tipper trailer for waste — and bring it back to a workable state, usually inside a couple of days for an average garden.

Once the back is broken on the worst of it, we can talk about ongoing maintenance, hard landscaping, fencing or new lawn areas. Some clients prefer to take it on themselves once the worst is dealt with, and that is fine too. There is no pressure to sign up to anything.

Lawn Care

A neglected lawn rarely needs replacing. Most of the time, a thorough cut, scarification to remove the dead matted thatch, an aeration treatment and a feed will bring it back inside one growing season. We can do the lot or just the bits you cannot face yourself.

We also fit irrigation, lay turf, install lawn edging, sort out drainage problems and re-seed bare patches. For new builds and recently moved-into houses where the lawn was never established properly, this is often the most cost-effective fix.

Hedge Cutting

Hedges are the bones of a garden. Cut them right and they look smart all year round; let them go and they take a lot of effort to bring back. We cut conifer hedges, beech, hornbeam, laurel, privet, yew, leylandii and the rest. Heights up to about three metres are straightforward; for taller hedges we have access platforms and the right safety equipment.

All trimmings and arisings are bagged or chipped and taken away as part of the quote. We are licensed waste carriers, so the rubbish does not end up dumped in a layby — it goes to a proper green-waste recycling site.
